Conveniently located in downtown Houston, the GRB is easily accessible from all areas of the city- no matter how you choose to commute. There are several transportation options available to visitors traveling from either of our two nearby airports, staying in hotels around the city, or exploring some of Houston's exciting dining and entertainment destinations.
For visitors travelling by car, there are parking garages located just a short walk from the convention center. Privately-operated surface parking lots and metered street parking are also located nearby. The City of Houston's ParkHouston page has more information about metered parking and cashless payment options.

TxDOT Improvement Project Construction and Closures
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has begun construction on segments of its North Houston Highway Improvement Project (NHHIP) that impact the convention campus, East Downtown, US 59/I-69, and other surrounding areas. Closures and detours resulting from TXDOT NHHIP projects may affect access to certain travel routes or increase travel time to and from the GRB or other areas on the east side.
The Campus Street Closures map does not include all NHHIP road closures. TxDOT provides updated information about the status of the improvements projects, road closures, and detours on their website and on Houston Transtar, which uses a variety of sources to provide current traffic conditions to drivers. We recommend checking both the Campus Street Closure Maps and Houston Transtar when planning your drive to the convention center.
